Alumni Council

(Refer to Section 6 of Article III of this Constitution)– The Alumni Council is created as independent body and is under the direct supervision of the Board of Directors. The Alumni Council shall administer the members applying for alumni status serving actively in the organization for a minimum of TEN (10) years. A certificate of loyalty/merit will be accorded to qualified Alumni members. All laws, rules and regulations of the Alumni Council shall not be in conflict with the Constitution and By-Laws of the Tyro Gyn Phi Fraternity and Sorority. The Alumni Council shall be composed of:

Alumni President shall:

  • Call and preside over the Tyro Gyn Phi Alumni Association assembly/ meeting;
  • Issue directive and statement on behalf of the Tyro Gyn Phi Alumni Association;
  • Make representation on behalf of the Tyro Gyn Phi Alumni Association;
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the alumni professional program;
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned by the Tyro Gyn Phi Fraternity and Sorority Board of Directors.

Alumni Vice President shall:

  • Assist the Alumni President and temporarily assume the president’s duties in his/her absence or incapacity;
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Alumni Secretary shall:

  • Perform secretariat activities;
  • Promptly file all records/ documents of the Alumni Council;
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Alumni Treasurer shall:

  • Plan the budget of the Alumni Council;
  • Be in-charge in the management of funds and resources of the fraternity Alumni Council;
  • Maintain financial reports open at all reasonable times for inspection and examination by the Board of Directors;
  • Perform such other duties as necessary for the good interests of the organization, or as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Alumni Auditor shall:

  • Check and audit all resources of the Alumni council;
  • Investigate any reported financial anomalies;
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Alumni Business Manager shall:

  • Coordinate/manage and determine projects/activities of the Alumni council;
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Alumni Grand Disciplinarian shall:

  • Oversee the discipline/behavior of the Tyro Gyn Phi Alumni members;
  • Perform such other duties which may be assigned by the Board of Directors.
